Oxford Isis is a washed-rind cheese made by the Oxford Cheese Company, named after the River Isis (the Thames as it flows through Oxford). Its distinctive character comes from being washed in traditional Oxford honey mead during affinage, imparting floral, honeyed notes to the sticky orange rind.
