About Caseo
I was six the first time I tasted real cheese — in the valleys of Bolivia, where I grew up. My dad handed me a piece of something I didn't even have a word for yet, and it was the best thing I had ever eaten.
I've been chasing that taste ever since. Wherever I travel, I hunt down the local cheese — a new city, a new country, another wedge I've never tried. As a kid, I had one dream: see the whole world, one cheese at a time.
I'm not a cheesemonger. I'm the person standing in front of the cheese case, wondering what to try next — the one whose friends mail her cheese for Christmas, who hangs cheese ornaments on the tree, who jokes she was a mouse in a past life. (My favorite is Parmesan.)
Then one morning, after years in financial sales, I woke up with a single, certain thought: I had to build an app for cheese.
Caseo is the app I always wished existed: a way to taste every cheese in the world — and finally remember them all.

Our mission
By most counts the world makes more than 1,800 named cheeses. Most of us know maybe twelve. The good news: cheese rewards attention faster than almost anything else you can eat. One hour with the right wedge and the right note, and you understand something new about a place.
Caseo exists to make that hour easier to find. Identify what you have. Read someone smart on it. Pair it with the bottle in your fridge. Find the next one to try. Log it, so you remember.
That's the whole brief.

No AI-drawn cheese. No "curated" anything. If we can't check it, we don't publish it.
A 12-month wheel from a particular cave. A wine from a particular co-op. The reason matters.
We don't take commission from shops. We never will.
Cheese is slow. The app should feel like it.
