Community Guidelines

• Rate what you actually tasted. Don’t rate a cheese you haven’t eaten.
• No paid, incentivised or coordinated reviews. If a producer, shop or brand gave you the cheese, a discount, or anything else of value, say so in the note.
• Don’t review your own product. If you make it, sell it or import it, you may talk about it — as yourself, disclosed — but you may not rate it.
• Post your own photos. Not a producer’s press image, not a picture from the internet.
• Say when an image is AI-generated. Caseo labels its own generated photography; we ask the same of you.

• No harassment, bullying, threats or pile-ons.
• No hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, disability, disease, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
• No impersonating another person, a producer, a shop, or Caseo itself.
• No posting anyone’s private information — address, phone number, documents — including your own.

• No sexual content or nudity, and no sexualised depictions of minors of any kind. We report child sexual abuse material to NCMEC and to law enforcement, always, without exception.
• No graphic violence or gore.
• No spam, bulk posting, engagement farming, or link-dumping.
• No promoting or selling regulated goods — drugs, weapons, counterfeits, live animals.
• No content promoting self-harm, suicide or eating disorders.

Caseo pairs cheese with wine, beer and spirits, and that’s welcome here. What isn’t: encouraging excessive or unsafe drinking, drinking games, or anything aimed at people under the legal drinking age. Caseo is for 17 and over.

No scraping, no bots, no fake accounts, no vote manipulation, no evading a suspension, and no probing our security.

If you run a business you’re welcome — as yourself, openly. Say who you are in your bio. Don’t rate your own products, post negatively about competitors from a business account, or list businesses that don’t exist.

Depending on what happened and whether it’s happened before, we may remove the content, limit its reach, restrict your ability to post, suspend the account, or terminate it permanently for the most serious violations.

We tell you what we did and why, and you can appeal. The process, the timelines and the appeal route are in the Content Moderation Policy.

Every post, profile, review and shop listing has a report control. Reports are confidential — the person you reported isn’t told who reported them. Reporting in bad faith, repeatedly and knowingly, is itself a violation.

For something urgent — a threat of violence, or content involving a child — email hello@caseo.appwith “URGENT” in the subject. Contact your local emergency services first if someone is in immediate danger.
